The Phelps County Community Foundation will offer incentive prizes to inspire nonprofit and donor participation on give2grow Phelps County Match Day on November 17. All prizes are cash grants to nonprofit organizations. Below is a listing of prize opportunities:
Prizes for Number of Donors*
The top three (3) nonprofits, with the most donors, will receive a bonus of $200 each.
Golden Tickets are sponsored by BD of Holdrege.
Seven (7) random donors will be selected throughout the day and will have a $200 bonus donation made, in their name, to the non-profit they supported.
Prize for Receiving the Most Credit Card Gifts
The Phelps County Community Foundation will provide a $500 bonus to the non-profit recieving the most ‘on-line’ credit card contributions. (Gifts brought in to the PCCF office on November 17 are not counted as a credit card gift.)
*A donor giving to the same participant more than once will be counted as one donor.
Golden Tickets is an hourly prize incentive created by BD to reward donor activity and increase a nonprofit’s chance to win prizes. Each golden ticket winner will have a $200 bonus donation made to the organization they supported. Golden ticket drawings will be held as follows:
Who can donate to Give 2 Grow?
Any individual or business may donate. Donations through Give2Grow 2016 at give2grow.razoo.com are received by the Razoo Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) charity. Donations can also be made at the Phelps County Community Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) charity.
Is there a minimum donation?
The minimum donation is $10.
Is there a maximum donation?
There is no maximum donation.
Are donations tax-deductible?
Donations are tax-deductible and irrevocable. (Donations will not be refunded.)
How can I make a contribution?
Contributions may be made online via credit and debit card using your computer or mobile device, or at the Foundation office. Contributions can be made at the Phelps County Community Foundation office at 424 Garfield Street in Holdrege from 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. on November 17.
How much of the donation will go to the nonprofit?
The nonprofit organization will receive the full donation, less a flat rate of 5.9% + .30, which covers the credit card processing and Razoo.com fees. There is no fee to the nonprofit to participate in give2Grow and no fees are assessed on the challenge pool of matching funds. The Phelps County Community Foundation receives no portion of these fees.
How will the give2Grow gifts and match pool gifts be distributed?
At the end of the day on November 17, the challenge pool of funds will be distributed in a proportional share to all participants. All gifts, (less Razoo fees), bonus grants and matching pool grants will be distributed to each participant no later than December 31, 2016.
What nonprofits can participate?
For an organization to participate, they first must register and be approved by The Phelps County Community Foundation. To do so, please contact the Foundation office at 308-995-6847.
Is there a limit to the amount an organization can receive on Give2Grow on November 17, 2016?
There is no maximum amount an organization may receive.
Can an organization track donations?
Organizations can track donations in real-time and have access to donor names and contact information, unless the donor chooses to make an anonymous contribution. Non-profit participants with administrative access can view gifts being made to their organization in real time. (See video in the step-by-step guide in the non-profit toolkit.) As host of give2Grow 2016, The Phelps County Community Foundation will receive contact information for donors who participate in give2Grow 2016. This information is used solely to thank the donor for participating, provide the option to opt-in to receiving future notifications from The Phelps County Community Foundation, and to notify the donor of future Give2Grow activities. The Phelps County Community Foundation will never sell or distribute donor information to a third party.
What is a donor?
A donor refers to a person who makes a donation to a nonprofit on give2grow.razoo.com. Each person will be counted once per organization in our "total donors" tally. If one person makes donations to multiple organizations, they will be counted once per organization on the leader board.
What else? Any fine print?
The Phelps County Community Foundation receives no financial benefit from hosting this event. The investment made by the Foundation is for the purpose of meeting its mission of serving donors and non-profits in Phelps County. The Phelps County Community Foundation can modify any restrictions or conditions if, in the sole judgment of the Board of Directors, such restriction or condition becomes unnecessary, incapable of fulfillment or inconsistent with the charitable needs of the community. As such, The Phelps County Community Foundation reserves the right to deny or condition the distribution of prize grants if, in the judgment of its Board of Directors, such restriction or condition becomes necessary.
